Miranda Country & Floral Hand Knotted Black Wool Rug 5' x 8'

Miranda Country is a hand-knotted wool rug in a floral floral design in black, measuring 5' x 8'. The pattern is a traditional all-over floral, the kind that reads as a single field of colour from across the room and shows its detail up close.

A 5' x 8' works in a living room beside the bed, or under a coffee table with the sofa's front legs resting on the edge.

This is a hand-knotted rug: no glue, no backing cloth, just knots tied one at a time. Turn it over and the design is visible on the reverse, the quickest way to tell true hand-knotting from a tufted imitation. The medium pile (0.25-0.75 inch) is substantial underfoot without catching on doors. Wool is naturally resilient, springs back after furniture is moved, resists staining thanks to its lanolin, and insulates against cold floors, which is why it remains the standard for rugs that see daily use.
