Maritsa Tufted Rug - Marine

The Maritsa Marine is a hand-tufted wool rug in a modern design in marine. The design is easy to live with: enough detail to hold interest, not so much that it dictates the rest of the room.

Choose the size so the front legs of your seating sit on the rug in a living room, or so 18 to 24 inches of rug shows beyond the mattress in a bedroom. Available in 12 sizes, from 6' Round to 12' x 18'.

Because tufting is faster than knotting, a hand-tufted rug delivers dense wool pile and a handmade finish at a price a knotted rug cannot match. The medium pile (0.25-0.75 inch) is substantial underfoot without catching on doors. Wool is naturally resilient, springs back after furniture is moved, resists staining thanks to its lanolin, and insulates against cold floors, which is why it remains the standard for rugs that see daily use.

• Sizes: 6' Round, 3' x 5', 2'5" x 9', 4' x 6', 2'5" x 12', 5' x 8', 6' x 9', 8' x 10'

Vacuum on a low setting without a beater bar, rotate the rug once or twice a year, and blot spills promptly. As with any handmade rug, expect small variations in size and colour; they are part of the piece, not defects.
