Bohemian Tribal Rust Hand-Knotted Wool Rug 8' x 10'

In rust with a tribal design, the Bohemian Tribal is a Persian-style hand-knotted wool rug measuring 8' x 10'. The motifs are loose and hand-drawn in feel, so the rug looks at home with both rustic and modern furniture. Rust is a warm, earthy color that suits both bohemian and traditional rooms.

Material and make

Each knot is tied by hand around the warp threads. It is slow work, and it is why hand-knotted rugs hold their shape and take heavy foot traffic. The wool pile hides soil well between cleanings and wears slowly, so this is a rug for rooms you actually live in.

In the room

At this size the rug suits a living room with the front legs of every seat on it, or a large bedroom with room to walk around the bed. A good underlay under a rug of this weight keeps it from moving on hard floors. Rust tones go well with cream, tan and dark wood, so the rest of the room can stay neutral.

Care

Vacuum on a low setting without a beater bar, rotate the rug once or twice a year, and blot spills promptly. As with any handmade rug, expect small variations in size and color; they are part of the piece, not defects.
